The AIM-traded firm said the move would magnify its extensive suite of financial services to businesses within Wales and extend its reach to the southwest of England.

With the introduction of the new team, the company augmented its total number of licensees to 25 and fee earners to 106 while elevating the number of its operational offices to 11.

The team would be led by Koo Aseeley and Michael Dunn, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the corporate finance domain.

“We are pleased to welcome Koo and Mike to the DSW network - their arrival gives Dow Schofield Watts a presence in Wales for the first time and comes hot on the heels of our launch of a new corporate finance team in the East Midlands,” said chief executive officer James Dow.

“Dow Schofield Watts is offering a highly attractive alternative career path to traditional accountancy firms by enabling professionals to run their own business as part of the network, and the addition of these two quality teams further strengthens our reputation as a leading force in corporate finance in the UK.”

At 1000 BST, shares in DSW Capital were up 1.24% at 57.2p.
