Director dealings: M&S director snaps up 50,000 shares.

Marks & Spencer revealed on Thursday that non-executive director Cheryl Potter had acquired 50,000 ordinary shares in the FTSE 100-listed retailer.

Potter, who joined the board of M&S in March, purchased the shares on Wednesday at an average price of 247.0p each, for a total value of £123,500.

On Wednesday, Marks & Spencer reinstated its dividend and delivered a 56.2% rise in first-half profits, but sounded a note of caution about future trade in the lead-up to Christmas - citing higher interest rates, weather, and geopolitical events.

As of 1620 GMT, M&S shares were down 0.20% at 243.60p.
