It added that chief financial officer Fernando Fernandez will take responsibility for a number of operational activities, including supply chain and procurement, digital and technology and business services.

The company earlier this year said it was spinning off its ice-cream business, which owns the Ben & Jerry’s, slashing 7,500 jobs and cutting costs.

It will now focus on four business groups: Beauty & wellbeing, personal care, home care and foods, which will operate across 24 Business Group-led markets with the remaining 100+ smaller markets run on a "One Unilever" basis “to benefit from scale and simplicity” the company said.
