The Sentix Investor Confidence survey, which tracks the sentiment of financial analysts and institutional investors across the single-currency region, gained 4.4 points to hit 4.5 in July, its highest since February 2022.

All subcomponents of the index increased for the third month in a row, with the current assessment score rising to -7.3 from -13.0 (highest since May 2023) and the expectations index up at 17.0 from 14.3.

In Germany in particular, expectations increased 2.3 points to 19.8, also the third increase in a row, while the current situation assessment rose for the fifth straight month, up 8.0 points at -18.8.

"The third increase in a row fulfils the triple rule, which only considers an economic turning point to be confirmed when an early indicator points in the same direction three times in a row," Sentix said.
