Pennant inks non-exclusive distribution deal with Siemens.

Pennant International named Siemens Digital Industries Software as a global OEM partner for its GenS technology on Monday, in a move that it said marked a significant step in its go-to-market strategy for its Auxilium suite of software solutions.

Under the agreement, Siemens was licensed to distribute Pennant’s GenS software as part of its Teamcenter Service Lifecycle Management platform.

The AIM-traded firm said the partnership was part of its broader commercial push to expand the reach of its systems support and training software globally.

“I'm pleased to announce significant progress with the execution of our 'go-to-market' strategy for Auxilium,” said chief executive Phil Walker.

“We are excited to be actively working with our new partners, with each appointment providing opportunities to access new markets and territories, and we look forward to providing updates as the partnerships progress.”

In addition to the Siemens deal, Pennant said it had appointed Win-Tek and Eva Aviation as sales agents for South Korea and Japan respectively - two new markets for the company.

Further negotiations were ongoing with potential representatives in India.

The group said it had also signed a collaboration agreement with German software company Warp IT, developer of a specialist application relevant to defence data standards.

It said the partnership would explore opportunities for product integration and joint proposals targeting known customer requirements later this year.

All agreements, including the Siemens partnership, were non-exclusive, allowing Pennant to continue offering its Auxilium suite - comprising GenS, Analyzer and R4i - through both direct and indirect sales channels in any region.

At 1155 BST, shares in Pennant International Group were up 14.62% at 29.8p.
