Of great importance too, also on 1 August the US Department of Labor will publish non-farm payroll figures for the month of July.
They will be preceded by central bank decisions in the US and Canada, on Wednesday, and in Japan on Thursday.
Also of considerable interest will be US inflation data due out on Thursday.
Friday will also bring with it closely followed survey results for Chinese and US manufacturing sector activity during the month of July.
