Director dealings: Jardine Matheson director invests, Springfield CEO makes sale.


Two of the director dealings disclosed to the London market on Wednesday involved share purchases at Jardine Matheson and a disposal at Springfield Properties.

At Jardine Matheson Holdings, director Lincoln Pan acquired 7,100 ordinary shares at a price of $71.82 each, according to the regulatory filing.

The transaction, carried out on 6 January on the Singapore Exchange, had a total value of $509,922, as an on-market purchase of the group’s 25-cent ordinary shares.

Springfield Properties meanwhile said its chief executive officer, Innes Smith, sold 100,000 ordinary shares at 132.5p apiece on 6 January as part of routine financial planning.

The disposal was executed on AIM and, following the transaction, Smith retained an interest in 896,644 shares, equivalent to around 0.8% of the company’s issued share capital.
