The AIM-traded firm, formerly known as HSS Hire Group, said Thomas replaced Richard Jones, who stepped down from the board on 30 January.

Jones was continuing to support the business as a part-time consultant until 31 March.

Thomas had been with the group since 2018 and held several senior finance roles during his tenure.

According to regulatory disclosures, he currently holds 437,443 ordinary shares in the company.

Non-executive chairman Alan Peterson said the appointment reflected Thomas’ progression within the business.

“Greig has been with the group since 2018,” he said.

“He has advanced through senior finance roles within the business, is a natural successor to the group CFO role and, as a board, we wish him all the best.”

Regulatory filings show Thomas currently holds directorships at Hampshire Topco, Hero Acquisitions, HSS Hire Group, HSS Proservice Marketplace, HSS Proservice, HSS Training, HSS Hire and 1st Collection Services.

At 0800 GMT, shares in ProService Building Services Marketplace were up 4.66% at 7.64p.
