Under the five-year agreement, Optima said it would deliver a full suite of employee assistance programmes and mental health services through Perkbox’s employee benefits platform.

The AIM-traded company said it would transfer clinical and administrative staff to support the delivery of its technology-enabled occupational health solutions, with scope to expand the services provided over time.

It said the contract was expected to be worth around £6.5m per year to Optima after an initial implementation period.

The deal forms part of the £8.3m of annualised new business secured or at preferred bidder stage disclosed in the group’s 2026 interim results.

Perkbox provides workplace benefits and rewards software used by employers to offer staff discounts, wellbeing tools and incentives alongside traditional remuneration.

The platform is currently used by about 7,500 organisations globally.

“This latest partnership provides an exciting opportunity for Optima to expand its service reach through a significant new channel partner, opening up a new stream of revenue for the business,” said chief executive Jonathan Thomas.

“We look forward to working closely with Perkbox as we deliver our market-leading solutions for workplace health and wellbeing to its large base of clients.”

At 1150 GMT, shares in Optima Health were up 1.32% at 184.9p.
