Client testing was expected by the end of 2026, with exchange-traded products set to become the first asset class in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approval.

LSE 24 will operate outside the Main Market’s existing hours and combine central limit order book and request-for-quote functionality, with equities expected to follow later.

The venue is also intended to connect with LSEG’s digital securities infrastructure, allowing more automated access to market data, order management, execution and settlement while retaining regulated-market controls.

At 0931 BST, shares in London Stock Exchange Group were down 1.29% at 8,730p.
