Adjusted pre-tax profit increased 12% to £14.0m and adjusted basic earnings per share rose 26.5% to 4.3p, while the interim dividend was lifted 12.5% to 0.9p.
The London-listed components manufacturer left its full-year expectations unchanged and set a new target for an adjusted operating margin of 14% in 2028, as an interim milestone towards its medium-term goal of 18%.
“Essentra delivered a strong first half, returning to organic revenue and order growth across all three regions,” said chief executive Scott Fawcett.
The group said continued order intake and revenue momentum, alongside pricing, procurement savings and cost reductions, supported confidence in further margin progression.
At 0915 BST, shares in Essentra were up 14.61% at 110.6p.
