Coombs, who joined Sirius in 2010, purchased the shares at an average price of 90p each, for a total value of £90,000.

Following the transaction, Coombs holds a beneficial interest in 12.92m ordinary Sirius shares, representing approximately 0.81% of the company's issued share capital.

As of 1530 BST, Sirius shares were up 0.61% at 90.15p.
