Tuesday looked set to be a fairly quiet session, with no major FTSE 350 corporate releases due.

On the macroeconomic calendar, eurozone retail sales figures and German factory orders for August will be out, while the S&P Global UK construction purchasing managers' index for September is scheduled for release.
Investors will also turn their attention to US trade data for August and a speech by Federal Reserve Bank of New York President John Williams.
