In a brief statement, ME Group - which sells, services and operates photo booths, unattended launderettes and digital printing kiosks - said chief financial officer Stephane Gibon had taken a temporary medical leave of absence.
Deputy finance director Ludovic Liaut, who has been with ME Group for 27 years, will take over as interim chief financial officer in his absence. "The company has put in place robust temporary cover arrangements to ensure continuity," ME Group said.
It did not specify when Gibon would likely return.
Gibon, 61, has worked for ME Group for nearly 30 years. He joined the business, then called Photo-Me International, in 1997 and held a variety of roles before being appointed chief financial officer in early 2018. The firm, which listed on the London market in 1962, changed its name to ME Group in 2022.
As at 1330 BST, shares in ME Group were down 5% at 113.6p.
