MARKS AND SPENCER GROUP PLC
APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Marks and Spencer Group plc ("M&S") announces that Roger Burnley CBE will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director effective from 1 December 2025.
Roger is the former CEO and COO of Asda and, prior to that, Retail & Operations Director at J Sainsbury's. He is currently a Non-Executive Director at Pets at Home Group plc.
Chairman Archie Norman commented, "Roger brings extensive experience in the food retail industry and supply chain transformation which will be invaluable as we enter the next phase of our plan to reshape M&S for growth. He's a strong addition to the team and I'm delighted to welcome him to the Board."
Roger commented, "M&S is a much-loved brand which I have always admired as setting the standard in UK retail, and it is a privilege to be joining such an engaged Board. Much progress has been made through the Reshaping for Growth strategy, but there remains so much opportunity, and I am looking forward to supporting the leadership team to capitalise on that in the years ahead."
Roger will join the Audit & Risk and Nomination Committees at the same time as joining the Board. M&S confirms there is no further information required to be disclosed in accordance with UK Listing Rule 6.4.8(R).
