In the People's Republic of China, foreign trade numbers covering March are scheduled for release on Tuesday, followed by a barrage of activity indicators for that same month on Friday.
Stateside meanwhile, the spotlight is likely to be on consumer price data, also for March, which is expected to show an acceleration in the annual rate of headline inflation from 1.7% for February to 2.5%.
But while base effects and the reopening of the economy are expected to drive prices higher over "the coming months", Barclays Research was telling clients that any overshoot of the US central bank's inflation target would not be sustained.
That was because of the "significant" amount of slack still present in the jobs market.
Thursday will be another key session Stateside, where a raft of economic data is due to be published, including a reading on March retail sales.
On home shores, the most important day will be Tuesday, with a reading on monthly GDP for February due out.
Across the Channel, Wednesday will see a deluge of top European Central Bank officials take to the podium, including boss Christine Lagarde herself.
